Real Life Tales & Inspirations: Alice

This month, we are so excited to share and congratulate Alice on her beautiful autumnal wedding. We love love and her wedding ceremony was truly gorgeous with the golden harvest glow. We recommend grabbing and sipping on your favorite mug of chai as you read through her tale.

Ifound The North Way Studios on Instagram and immediately loved Maria's style. Everything looked straight out of a storybook. When we learned that the designs are hand carved by Maria, we knew we'd found the right ring maker for us. Maria's eye for detail is phenomenal.

We selected our rings together, but my husband actually helped decide on my engagement ring. The Belladonna setting was perfect for me. I love plants, and the delicate vines and leaves around the setting were enchanting. My gemstone was a gift from my husband from before we picked out rings. It is a Montana sapphire and the purple-periwinkle color is one of my favorite shades.

It helped that the Belladonna also fit perfectly with the wedding bands we picked. My husband's wedding band is something we both enjoy looking at. He's gotten many compliments on it. Despite it not having any stones on it, it sparkles and catches the light (and eye) very well. It fits his style, and I can tell he is proud of it.

When I look at my ring I remember how excited we were to be getting married: how my husband waited patiently until I was ready to get engaged and, once I gave him the green light, he made it his mission to make sure our wedding rings would be something truly special. Our rings go together beautifully and it makes me think about how well we go together, too. It's cheesy but that guy really lights up my life, and he tells me I do the same for him. It's nice to have visual reminders of our bond and love for one another.

We chose to get married in autumn because we love the beauty of the changing colors: the fall leaves, and the richness of summer's end before winter.
